General Spanish Course for School Groups in Spain

A 7-day general Spanish course in Benalmádena, near Málaga for school groups 12–19, with level-matched lessons and full-board residence.

Why this course. General Spanish is a 7-day course on the European Trainee Academy campus in Benalmádena, near Málaga, that gives your school group seven days inside the language. Andalusian Spanish in its natural setting — markets, cafés, beach paths, trip guides — turns vocabulary that lived on a textbook page into something your students actually use. The fastest route from intermediate to confident.

What it covers. Daily lessons calibrated to each student’s level after a Day 1 placement. Mornings work through grammar, vocabulary, listening, and conversation; afternoons take Spanish outside class — guided activities and structured time using the language with locals. The week ends with your students presenting in Spanish to peers and leaders.

How it is run. Your school group — 15 to 32 students, ages 12 to 19 — travels together with its own group leader. Your students sleep at the on-campus residence with full board, supervised by EUTA staff and your travelling leader. One leader place is free for every 15 students. A guided Málaga half-day excursion closes the week (Friday afternoon, after certificates), and a free public-transport card covers local travel throughout.

What Students Will Gain

Real cultural immersion on the Costa del Sol

Daily life in a Spanish coastal town — markets, beaches, Andalusian rhythm — turns the programme into context rather than a side trip.

Travel confidence and independence

A week abroad with the group builds the social confidence and self-reliance a classroom can’t — first café orders in another language, first navigating a new town as a team.

Spanish fluency through immersion

Andalusian Spanish in its natural setting — classroom morning, lived afternoon — the most efficient route from intermediate to confident.

Real-world Spanish in context

Practice Spanish where it’s spoken — at the café, on the bus, in shops and at the beach — not in textbook dialogues.

Level-matched class groupings

Day-one placement sorts students by level so beginners are not left behind and stronger students are not held back — every lesson is calibrated to the group it’s in.

End-of-week showcase in Spanish

The week closes with each project group presenting their work in Spanish to the wider cohort — public-speaking practice in a real audience, with stakes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of Spanish do students need?

All levels, including absolute beginners. On Day 1 students take a short placement task and are grouped by level (typically A1 to B2), so a B1 student is not stuck in an A1 class and a beginner is not lost in an intermediate group. Lessons within each group are calibrated by the teacher across the week.

How are groups supervised?

Your travelling group leader stays with your students throughout the week and is the first contact for anything they need. EUTA staff supervise the on-campus residence, lessons, and trips. One leader place is free for every 15 students booked.

Where do students stay and eat?

Your students stay in the on-campus residence inside Benalmádena International College, our gated campus in Nueva Torrequebrada, near Málaga. Full board is included — breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the school kitchen, with dietary needs accommodated when you tell us at booking. More on the accommodation page.

Is this course Erasmus+ funded?

No. The General Spanish course is paid direct by the school out of its own budget — Erasmus+ funding cannot be applied to it. If your school is looking for an Erasmus+ funded option, see our Erasmus+ eligible school programmes or read the official Erasmus+ programme guidance.

What’s included in the per-student price?

Tuition (30 hours over the week), full-board accommodation in the on-campus residence, learning materials, certificate of completion, free public-transport card, the Friday Málaga half-day excursion, and AGP airport return transfer. One leader place is free per 15 students; the per-student rate is shown in the pricing block above.

How do we book a date?

Use the enquire form with your rough dates, group size, and the students’ ages. We’ll confirm availability and send a draft invoice plus a learning agreement template for your school to review before any deposit.

What is General Spanish?

General Spanish is everyday Spanish taught across all four skills — reading, writing, listening, and speaking — built around real-life situations rather than a single subject. Your students are grouped by level after a Day 1 placement, so beginners and stronger speakers each work at the right pace toward confident, practical Spanish.
