Erasmus+ Funding for Student Mobilities
How schools can use Erasmus+ KA122 and KA152 grants for student group mobility programmes in Spain.
How Erasmus+ Works for Schools
Erasmus+ supports schools in organising international mobility experiences for students through two Key Actions: KA122 (short-term student mobility projects) and KA152 (youth exchanges). Both provide grants covering travel, accommodation, programme activities, and preparation costs.
At EUTA, we specialise in planning and delivering these mobilities — well-structured, engaging, and fully aligned with Erasmus+ quality standards. Our team handles programme design, accommodation, logistics, and documentation so your school can focus on the learning outcomes.
KA122 — Short-Term Student Mobility Projects
KA122 provides schools and organisations with a flexible, accessible way to organise short-term international mobilities for learners and staff. No Erasmus+ accreditation is required — schools apply for a project-based grant through their National Agency.
This is ideal for schools new to Erasmus+ or planning a one-off group trip. Students experience language courses, cultural immersion, and collaborative learning activities — all in a structured, safe environment in Benalmádena, Spain.
KA152 — Youth Exchange Projects
KA152 gives young people the opportunity to take part in international, cross-cultural learning experiences that build teamwork, leadership, and intercultural understanding. Youth exchanges bring together groups from different countries for shared, non-formal learning.
At EUTA, we help organisations design, manage, and deliver KA152 projects with engaging activities, smooth logistics, and innovative learning tools. Our programmes are designed to maximise the impact of each exchange while meeting all Erasmus+ reporting requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does our school need Erasmus+ accreditation to participate?
Not necessarily. Accredited schools can use their annual KA1 funding for student mobilities. Schools without accreditation can apply for a short-term KA122 project — a one-off project grant that doesn’t require prior accreditation. KA152 youth exchanges are also available to youth organisations and schools.
What age groups can participate?
Our student programmes are designed for groups aged 14–19. Group sizes typically range from 15 to 45 students, plus accompanying teachers. We tailor the programme content and activities to suit the specific age group and learning objectives of each school.
How much funding can our school receive?
Funding amounts depend on the Key Action, group size, and your country’s distance to Spain. Grants typically cover travel (by distance band), individual support (accommodation and meals, per-day rates set by the National Agency), and programme activity costs. Contact your National Agency for exact rates — we can help you estimate costs based on your group size.
What is the difference between KA122 and KA152?
KA122 (Short-term Projects for Mobility) is designed for schools organising structured educational mobilities — language courses, cultural programmes, and collaborative learning. KA152 (Youth Exchanges) brings together groups from different countries for shared, non-formal learning experiences focused on intercultural understanding. Both are suitable for EUTA’s programmes.
How far in advance should we plan?
We recommend starting 6–12 months before your intended travel dates. KA122 application deadlines are typically in February–March for mobilities in the following academic year. Contact us early — we can help with programme planning and provide the documentation you need for a strong application.
What documentation does EUTA provide?
We provide everything your school needs for the application and final report: detailed programme descriptions, daily schedules, Learning Agreements, official invitation letters, proforma invoices, participant certificates, and Europass Mobility documents. Our team guides you through the entire documentation process.
Can we organise a trip without Erasmus+ funding?
Yes — all EUTA student programmes are available to self-funded groups. Many schools organise trips through their own budgets or other funding sources. See our student programmes for pricing and availability.
